Cooking Instructions: We suggested taking extra care with these delicate Sea Legend sea scallops. We recommend sauteing, broiling or baking to enhance their sweet flavor. They are also delicious in soups and chowders. Heat a lightly oiled or buttered pan over med-high heat. Add scallops, season with a little salt and pepper and saute for 6-8 minutes. Remove scallops from heat, stir in I teaspoon of butter and serve hot. Preheat broiler. Place marinated or oiled scallops in a pan 4 inches from the heat source. Broil 3-4 minutes, then flip scallops and broil another 2-3 minutes. Scallops will be slightly golden and opaque in the center. Preheat oven to 350 degrees F. Place scallops in a glass baking dish. Add juice from 1/2 lemon, 1 tablespoon dry white wine, 2 tablespoons cold butter, and season with salt and pepper. Bake until scallops are opaque in the center, approximately 12-14 minutes. Add scallops during the last 5 minutes of cooking soups, stews or chowders. Thaw: Thawing Instructions: For best results, defrost scallops under refrigeration for 24 hours before cooking. Rinse and pat dry. For faster thawing, place scallops in a collander and rinse under gentle cool running water for 4-8 minutes depending on size. Drain and pat dry. Do not thaw at room temperature. Refreezing not recommended. Keep frozen. Do not refreeze.
